FPPA Member Experience Project – Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 25, 2026

By subscribing to or participating in the FPPA Member Experience Project (“Project”), you agree to the following terms:

1. Purpose

The Project is a member-led forum for stakeholders of the FPPA Defined Benefit Statewide (SWDB) Plan to share information, review plan decisions, and discuss benefits, COLAs, governance, and long-term plan sustainability. The Project is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the FPPA.

2. Eligibility and Membership

  • Membership is limited to stakeholders, vetted supporters, and qualified professionals.

  • Members must provide accurate information for verification purposes if requested.

  • The Project reserves the right to remove members who do not meet eligibility or violate these terms.

3. Content Guidelines

Members agree to:

  • Engage in respectful, constructive dialogue.

  • Base contributions on verified facts or clearly identified opinions.

  • Provide supporting links or references for factual claims whenever possible.

  • Clearly label content that is opinion, commentary, or personal perspective.

  • Refrain from personal attacks, harassment, or defamatory statements.

4. Prohibited Use

  • The Project may not be used to harass, threaten, or intimidate other members or FPPA staff.

  • Content that violates laws, copyrights, or privacy rights is strictly prohibited.

5. Disclaimers

  • All content represents the views of members, not the FPPA.

  • The Project is educational and informational only. Nothing constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice.

  • While the Project aims to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we make no warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, or reliability of content.

6. Liability

  • Members participate at their own risk. The Project is not liable for any damages, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, arising from use of this platform or reliance on information shared.

7. Content Removal and Enforcement

  • The Project reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms of Service without prior notice.

  • Members who repeatedly violate these Terms may have access suspended or revoked at the Project’s discretion.

8. Changes to Terms

  • The Project may update these Terms of Service at any time. Subscribers will be notified of changes via email or platform notice. Continued use of the Project constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
